About
Meursault was founded in 2007 as phil and aaron playing together, then split up, then reunited, then split up, then reunited as just phil in 2010. they put out a demo (recorded on a field near a village in south germany) with about 70 copies and played several shows and tours together with friends like Adono or Syn*Error.
The music is kind of folk-punk in the traditon of bands like Defiance, Ohio , the early Against me! or Rosa. But in some ways it's much more darker and in that way very intense. The lyrics reflect the position of an individual in an world dominated by capitalism, alienation and repressive structures. It's also about friendship, disappointment, ... from a radical subjective position.
And Phil is one of the greatest guys i ever met!
